No Frills has pork picnic shoulder roasts on sale for $1 per lb. in cryovac packages. Pulled pork and sausage making time to stock up.

If its packed by a different company it should be safe. But generally won't buy meat from frills either especially like ground beef or any meat in a styro dish with plastic wrap over it.

No Frills doesn't have anything to do with pork like that - it is handled and packaged at a central facility and shipped out to them. All they do is to open the box, price the product and put it out on their shelves.

That central processing plant will sell to Loblaws, to Superstores, and to Extra Food stores, as well as No Frills.

Loblaws owns No Frills as well as Superstores, Extra Foods and Your Independent Grocery (YIG). Whoever they get it from it's $1 / lb. government inspected and cryovac packaged.
